  • Nadal’s rivalry with Roger Federer may be the graetest rivalry in history.  Nadal has defeated Federer 13 of 19 times
  • He is still only 22 years old!!!
  • Roger Federer:

  • Has a career singles record of 626-151, including 57 career titles
  • Was ranked Number 1 in the world for a record 237 consecutive weeks.
  • Has won 13 career Grand Slam single titles (3 Australian Opens, 5 Wimbledons, 5 US Opens). Record is 14, held by Pete Sampras.
  • Has won 4 Tennis Masters Cup titles (tournament played at the end of the year involving the top 8 players)
  • 14-time ATP Masters Series title winner, as well as an Olympic gold in doubles (partner was Stanislas Wawrinka)
  • Holds record with 10 consecutive Grand Slam final appearances, as well as winning 65 consecutive times on grass courts.
  • Has been named the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year four consecutive years (’05-’08)
  • Has a really sick logo.
  • The Spainiard defeats one of the only Swiss athletes I know (David Aebischer, Mark Streit and Martin Gerber) in this intense matchup.  Nadal will face King James in the Elite Eight.  This round will begin Wednesday.
