Reed Vs. Polamalu

Ed Reed at the 8-seed vs Troy Polamalu at the 9.

match22

Ed:

  • NFL defensive player of the year (2004)
  • 4 time first team all-pro selection (2004, 2006-08)
  • 43 career interceptions
  • First player in NFL history to return an interception, punt, blocked punt and fumble for a touchdown
  • 11 total touchdowns (5 interceptions, 3 blocked punts, 2 fumbles and a punt return)

Troy:

  • 5 time Pro Bowl selection
  • 3 time all-pro (2004, 2005, 2008)
  • Super Bowl champion
  • 17 career interceptions (including the one in the picture)
  • Hasn’t had a hair cut since 2000

In this battle of the safeties (thats the correct spelling, Chris), I have to give it to Ed Reed.ย  He’s much more of a playmaker than Polamalu, evidenced by 10 more touchdowns.ย  The bracket so far can be seen below.

About shasaw

My wonderful abilities to write have caused Chris to offer me a contract worth $4.8 million to write for We Got The Goodz. I reluctantly accepted the offer since I know that my skills are worth much more than that. Anyway, here is some stuff about me. Interests: Baseball (D-Backs), Hockey (Sabres), Football (Bills), also playing pool, darts and poker Music: Mostly country, although I'm a big fan of the Kings of Leon. The Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Jason Mraz and the Eagles are good too. Movies: Slap Shot, Happy Gilmore, Braveheart, I Am Legend, Starsky and Hutch, Blues Brothers, Taxi and National Treasure. Books: Kurt Vonnegut is an author I don't mind, so any books he wrote.
